Sebern Fisher is our Guest on ISNR's Specialized Topic Discussion Group

ISNR Specialized Topic Discussion Group, hosted by Donna Creasy, is on November 8, 2023 at 1:00pm Eastern time.

This is an ISNR Members-Only discussion group.  The Zoom invitation will be sent to members in announcements as well as a reminder on the morning of the discussion group.

Sebern Fisher will be joining us as a guest speaker on November’s meeting.  There is no fee to attend, however, you must be a member of ISNR.

Sebern will be talking briefly about how neurofeedback and Deep Brain Reorienting enhance each other in the treatment of developmental trauma. The focus of DBR is on finding and clearing attachment shock that is held in the brainstem.

Many in the field of developmental trauma are recognizing that it is this rupture in attachment or perhaps, even worse, the failure of attachment that is the core issue. Without attachment there is no way for the child to learn to regulate affect.

In trauma treatment, affect regulation is first and arguably the most important contribution of neurofeedback.
